This home was built by Alexander Lane 1838 and 1844 Later the Lane sisters, Alexander’s daughters, held classes in the two front rooms. The style is a combination of the Greek Revival and the Italianate cottage style. The Hopkins House name honors the Hopkins family members who lived here 1934-1997. The home retains the authenticity of the home and grounds while bringing in the 21st century comforts.The present owners of the home are Bill Blaylock and Palmer Hagerstrom.
