White Pillars

A Greek Revival home build in 1838 by Thomas Falconer, local newspaper editor whose son, Kinloch Falconer, became Secretary of State. Both Thomas and Kinloch were victims of the 1878 Yellow Fever epidemic that claimed the lives of many of Holly Springs leaders.

In the 1850’s the home was remodeled and enlarged by architect Spires Bowling to a two-story home with a three bay undercut gallery and octagonal columns. In the 1980’s the exterior was encapsulated with reclaimed brick and the gallery extended. The present owners of the home are John and Judy Forester.
